Dear BBP Patrons,
It is with both pleasure and a heavy heart that we announce the delay of The Servant of Two Masters. We will begin our 2025 season with the Commedia classic. The tremendous amount of growth and positive, yet unprecedented, circumstances we experienced in 2024 have prompted us to take the remainder of this year to restructure and streamline our backend processes.
Tiffany and I have been producing shows nonstop since Covid receded. It’s time we take a moment to reassess our systems and make things more sustainable.
The truth is, as a two-person staff with a small board, balancing the day-to-day work of being in production and the long term maintenance of keeping the organization alive has kept us in overdrive. Taking this time will ensure we have the structure in place to support our staff and make our 2025 season all the more impactful, professional, and accessible. In other words, we want to get better at making theatre for you!
A few key updates we’re excited to share include:
- Preparing to hire a Company Manager to streamline administrative tasks and allow our artistic team to focus on what we do best.
- Expanding our board to include more voices that can help us grow.
- Strengthening our sponsorship efforts for 2025 productions, classes, and digital content.
- Developing better production and administrative processes to make all aspects of BBP more efficient and effective.
- Refining education and workshop offerings to better serve our local and online community.
- Publishing more online content like Behind the Bard, our podcast, and putting full productions on YouTube.
We’re also thrilled to announce our upcoming season:
- The Servant of Two Masters (April 2025)
- Love’s Labour’s Lost (Touring September 2025)
- Othello (December 2025)
In the meantime, stay connected! We’ll continue to engage with you through pop-up events, workshops, and digital content throughout the upcoming months.
Thank you for being part of the Boise Bard family and for your unwavering support. You make all of this possible, and we can’t wait to share BBP 2.0 with you!
